Guest guest
Namaste Prasanna, Falling asleep can happen during sadhana much as respected DDji said. It would seem that most people aren't naturally equipped with a strength of conscious awareness to stay awake when the mind becomes still. The only time they experience a stiller mind is usually in sleep. The habit then occurs that when the mind becomes still awareness and consciousness is lost. This can also happen when the mind becomes still during shaktipat. That is perhaps the last place where you'd think a person would fall asleep, but it happens. It is also worth nothing that as we progress inwards during sadhana there is a phase of seductive sleep that often occurs. It seems to just take practice and earnestness to get through this. Wishing you and all in the group well, Om Shanti Neil
Guest guest
Namashkaar, I enjoy japa mala. I do one 108 round of Shree Krsna Japa (Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare); and then one 108 round of Om Namah Shivai. Besides a feeling of peace and well being, is there any other reasons or benefits of japa?
