Guest guest
Those interested in Sanskrit translations can try the links below. You are also encouraged to do some self-study. If one is spoon-fed or have it served up on a silver platter for instant access to anything (especially the Divine), it actually slows one's spiritual progress, rather than enhancing it. To Nancy: --------- Traditionally it is a known but largely unspoken rule of thumb that when a person asks about mantras, yantras and Tantra and their meanings in each respective case, sound, pronounciation, wording, performing puja, etc.etc, etc, it is the duty of a genuine practitioner to refer them back to the person's Guruji. It is unethical and disrespectful to "interfere" or "give spiritual advice and guidance" to another Guru's chela (student). Unless your own Guruji gives permission or gives his blessings for you to seek advice from another person, then its ok. Hope you understand the "deep workings" of Classical Lineages. Please check out these links: a) Glossary of Tantrik & Sanskrit Terms --- The following pages are intended to be a simplistic glossary of terms used in Tantrik and other Sanskrit manuscripts. http://www.hubcom.com/magee/tantra/glossary.htm b) Online Sanskrit Dictionary -------------------------- A separate set of files is created only for numbers used in Sanskrit. Please see learning tools' section. The complete dictionary is available in postscript / PDF / XDVNG / ITX / text formats. There is a copyright on the dictionary files to the extent of preventing misuse on other internet sites and working as a disclaimer for the contents, as it was built by volunteers. We recommend not to copy and post dictionary files on any other site since we periodically update and correct this list and we do not want different versions of file floating around the internet. We have seen people copying this work and calling it their http://www.alkhemy.com/sanskrit/dict/ c) Hinduism Online Lexicon ----------------------- Welcome to Hinduism's Online Lexicon This is a comprehensive lexicon of over 700+ Hindu words and other words from Dancing with Siva, Hinduism's Contemporary Catechism by Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami.
