Hello Ketan,

Gems should be pure and healthy. What can you expect from SICK (flawed)

or DEAD (very flawed) gems? The exact words are "Sujati" (high born),

and "Amala" (flawless).

I am not aware of the quality of others gems which I can't examine. But

RR.com are PGA members who all must follow the rule against flawed

gems.

Here is a reply to your question from the Shastra...

"If anyone wears a gem with many flaws (even) out of ignorance, then

grief, anxiety, sickness, death, loss of wealth and other evils torment

them."--- Sri Garuda Purana:1.70.19

So, if you wear a flawed sapphire you probably will suffer. You MUST

have bad luck in the first place to get a flawed sapphire.

If you want more info on "clarity" please read my book at

http://www.agt-gems.com/Book/Clarity/index.html

BTW: Accepted jyotish clarity range is as low as 75% loupe clean up to

100% loupe clean. Most I stick to the 90-100% clarity range.

AND, what about "cultured" pearls?" They are NOT alive and using them

for jyotish is nonsense. And even with real natural pearls "quality" is

hard to find.

Accordingly, Planetary Gemology SHOULD produce the finest gems-jewelry

on Earth.

Hope this helps,

Sukriya...

Richard
