Guest guest
Learned friends... What is the significance of the number of "Mukha" on a "Gauri-Shankar"? Like what is the difference between 11 mukhi Gaura Shankar or 13 mukhi GS? Thanks in advance... Guest guest
Dear DharmaDevji, Namaskar!!! Thanks for the answer. I read that GS was like the Moon, so I set a natural pearl in the gold GS setting for my Mom. That GS was 13 mukhi. In that case do we have a combo of Shiva-Parvati, Moon & Venus? I always felt like the Rudraksha, regardless of how many faces, was ultimately the power of Lord Shiva. Sukriya!!! Guest guest
Dear Respected Richard Ji Yes ........you have it correctly.........Gauri Shankar Represents Lord Siva and Goddess Uma at the primordial level of development and creation of the Universe.......the 13 Mukhi Gauri Shankar can be a combination of a 6 Mukhi Lord Kartikeya Bead and a 7 Mukhi Goddess MahaLakshmi Bead combineing the pacifying effects for planets Venus and Saturn...........This type of Bead is immense in its ability to Protect a person from worldy sorrows at the same time attracting good life.......Pearl is also good choice as is represents the Mother............We normally always recommend a Gauri Shankar for Woman of Household as Gauri Shankar brings Peace and Happiness with it to Home and Family There are other combinations of Gauri Shankar for 13 Mukhi also.......rare 5 Mukhi and 8 Mukhi.........rare 4 Mukhi and 9 Mukhi Another example would be the Lord Visnu Gauri Shankar that has 10 Mukhis of different combinations on different Beads.........5 Mukhi and 5 Mukhi most common......4 Mukhi and 6 Mukhi not so common.......and rare 3 Mukhi Sri Agni and 7 Mukhi Goddess MahaLakshmi Gauri Shankar All combine the different values and merits of the two seperate beads that have grown together to make the Gauri Shankar hope this helps Thanks and Take Care DD In a message dated 5/19/2005 11:04:41 PM Pacific Standard Time, rsbj66 writes: > > > Dear DharmaDevji, > > Namaskar!!!
