Guest guest
Hi, As far as I have seen, including a trip to India myself, nearly all gemstones that are available in India are flawed, for some reason the good stones go everywhere else. Not suprising considering the market value of the stones in India as oppposed to the western world. I had a look around places like Haridwar, and found no decent stones whatsoever, I have purchased from India via the web and the stones (when they arrived) looked either fake, or they were too flawed to even consider wearing. Most of the people will try to get you to have the stone set from them before they ship it to cover up the flaws. Yes it is best not to wear stones that have flaws. The book 'The Healing Power of Gemstones' by Harish Johari, covers the nine primary gems in great detail, and also has sections on many of the upratna's too, he especially deals with the flaws of the gems and the effects - some of the flaws can prove fatal! Where Harish Johari excels, is in his own personal intuition - through direct inner knowledge, you see the man just wasn't a theorist or scholar, Johari had reached higher levels of conciousness, so the depth and inate knowledge of each gem is presented in a great manner. As it stands at the moment don't purchase any stones from any Indian retailer they always use phrases like first class or flawless if that's what you want to hear, but the stones are usually rubbish. Sorry if my message is harsh in any way, this is my experience and you did ask! Where my response may differ from others is that I have no vested financial interests. First procure authentic literature that highlights the flaws of gems and their effects good or bad, before you consider anything further, Thanks Rajinder Singh Kari Sprowl wrote: > And, all emeralds have "jardins" inclusions. > > > yourstruelyprince <no_reply> > May 8, 2005 7:30 AM > > RBSC : I need help regarding the forms of gemsgems. > > Hallo > Dear Gemologist please tell me something. > About the gems, it is said that the gems that we wear should be cut in > dimensions.
