Hi!

This is my first posting. For oiling my rudrakshas I use jojoba oil, sunflower

oil, almond oil, unscented sesame oil, or any fine quality oil that has no

offensive smell. I would NOT use olive oil unless you want to smell like an

Italian restaurant. I am talking about a set of 108 4mm 5-mukti rudrakshas with

the proper Jyotish stones and metals in between the beads, and a larger teacher

bead in the middle. However, I am not sure how often to oil them. I don't oil my

three sets that often; what is recommended? Thank you!

Hi and namashkar,

I see some comments on oiling beads with almond oil. i have also seen

oiling with mustard and/or light oilive oil. which one is best; if any?

I smelt mustard oil at my mothers house and it was really strong in

smell! However i have seen people make reference to use mustard oil

much more that i see to use other oils. is the mustard oil best or just

standard. I use light oilve oil every 2 weeks after washing/cleaning.

is there any diference?

Thanks

Dear Sindhuma.

The beads will appear a bit dry looking. Oil them then. ?Differences in

climate and weather determine the intervals.
