Guest guest
"OM NAMAHA SHIVAYA" Namaste Dharmadevji, Thanks for your inputs about the mala. Yes, I have read somewhere about the japa mala and the way of using it... most probably in 'Healing Mantras' by Thomas Ashley Farrand...but am not too sure... i don't clearly remember where... i guess that for maximum benefit one should follow the rules, but for a mantra chanted with pure heart by a bhakta, there are no rules. Guest guest
Namaste to all: I would like to share the openion that; the lengh of the mala, or the size of the mala is of the least issue we should be concentrating on. Wether it is a mala from one country or the other, once it is used with pure love, meditation and the true form of spirituality, then you will gain the reward of it. The other thing we need to acknowledge is, what language do we speak to the lord in? The language is lord understands is the language from the heart. OM NAMAH SHIVAYA. Guest guest
Dear Ambika Singh ji You are absolutely correct in pointing out that what matters is what is in your heart. Nothing would work for someone unless they have pure love for the divine in their heart. Moreover as is said over and over in our religious books, devotion to what you want to achieve is the biggest source of energy you can ever have. Frankly if you look around, this is not only true for the love of supreme being but in every aspect of our lives. The people that are at the top of their professions, tend to have one thing in common and that is a single minded devotion to what they have set out to achieve. As far as the length of the rudraksha mala is concerned, the only real reference point that we have is the Shiva purana and srimad Bagwat and there is no mention as to the length that the Rudraksha mala ought to be. It maybe that there is a reference in one of the Vaishanava methods (which tend to be more strict as to the rituals and ceremonies) that I am not that well aware of. Kind regards Anand Ambika Singh [ambika_singh29] 16 March 2005 14:02 Re: RBSC : Length of Mala - reference Namaste to all: I would like to share the openion that; the lengh of the mala, or the size of the mala is of the least issue we should be concentrating on.
