Dear Devenji

Please read explanation on Rudra Centers website in the Rudraksa Bead section

on Gauri Shankar and this will give you a good start in understanding this

Holy Bead

Indonesian Rudraksa are mostly used as counters to count Mantra

Nepal Rudraksa are worn for their values and merits some of these being

listed on our website and in the Siva Purana and the SriMadDeviBhagavat

Also there are articles on our website that describe some of what the Nepal

Rudraksa represent

If you go to our January messages you will also find the first half dozen

chapeters of Rudraksha Therapy for more information

Then the Subas Rai Book that is Rudraksa Values and Biomedical Implications

that is found on our book webpage is also a good reference

hope this helps

Thanks and Take Care

DharmaDev

Mr. Chopra its a very funny question for which there is only one answer that too

in the form of a question, if you are blessed with two children, whom would you

love more the more brilliant, more handsome one or one who is not that

goodlooking nor very brilliant but in essence having the same divine element

that is atma. The soul of all rudraksha is one i.e. lord shiva. Indonesian beads

may be smaller & not very goodlooking but when it comes to effectiveness they

are equally potent to their nepali counterparts.

With regards

I am very curious to know about a few things.

If anybody knows anything about the following Please do tell me.

I want to know what is the relative effectiveness of Indonesian

rudraksha as compared to the Nepalese rudraksha.

Also what I would like to know everything about the Gauri shankar

rudraksha.

Thanks.

Dear KC Hari2001

I dont understand why you didnt answer question from Deven ji in the manner

he asked.........his question was not about what bead was liked the

most........his question was what group of beads were more effective and the

Holy Books

state the larger the Bead the more effective the Bead in values and merits

why would you say something that does not reflect what the Shiva Purana

states about the importance of effectiveness of Rudraksa

In Siva Purana Vidyesvara Samhita Chapter 25 Parts 9 to 10 start with

Rudraksa grown in Gauda Land became great favourites of Siva

Gauda Land describes a tract of land that is between the Himalayas and Orissa

in India and does not include Indonesia

Siva Purana goes on to say they were grown in Mathuura, Lankaa,

Ayodhyaa,Malaya, Sahya mountain, Kashi and other places.....today they even grow

in Hawaii

in a forest there however the meaning of the Rudraksha from Gauda Land being

the great favourites of Lord Siva is just that

The Holy Rudraksha Beads that are grown in Gauda Land have proven to be more

powerful in values and merits than the Beads grown in Indonesial.....they even

look different

I have answered the question twice now so am wondering if you are from

Indonesia............some time in pre history maybe the late 1800s or early

1900s

the Indonesians told people the smaller the bead the more powerful and a market

was made worldwide with the small punch Mukhi Rudraksa Malas used as counters

for Mantra in the 4mm size to maybe the 8mm size .......nobody I know actually

knows how this inaccuracy got started however the Holy Books in general

starting with the Siva Purana state the larger the Bead the more powerful it is

specific to its ability to work changes on a persons Neurophysiology

Now there are some Indonesian Beads that are the same size as the medium

Nepali Beads however when placed side by side you can see and feel a definite

difference and it has to do with where the beads are grown. The environment of

the

Himalayas gives the Nepal Beads an energy not found in Indonesian Beads

hope this helps

Thanks
