Vandanaji has been referring to the content where in Srimad Bagwat Arjun

asks Lord Krishna as to how a 'god-realized' soul can be recognized aka

what are the properties of a 'God-realized soul'.

The Lord answers and as part of the answer He refers to the Tortoise for

it's ability to withdraw all of it's limbs and the tail. The four limbs

and tail being referred to as the five basic senses of us humans.

This is in Chapter 2 and verse 58 as Vandanaji mentioned in her e-mail.

>From this text it appears that the symbol of tortoise is being referred

to as the soul that can withdraw from the five basic senses to meditate

on the Supreme being.

Am I in the right sort of area Vandanaji? Please feel free to elaborate

as you have obviously done some research in the subject matter.

Kind regards

Anand
