Dear Sanjay

Namaskar and thanks for messsage....when I was in India mine also broke twice

in three weeks.........they told me that it is a most Auspicious occasion

when the Malas break as it is a sign of the Rudraksa doing thier work and

bursting at time of breakthrough.....meaning like a Spiritual Breakthrough

This is a most Auspicious time when this happens......Congratulations and

wishing you many more years of wearing after you have Mala repaired

hope this helps

Take Care

Not a bad omen, at all. Usually, it's a GOOD omen. Often means that some karma

has been released. What KIND of karma is determined by where it broke (between

what beads?).

Yes, you can re-string it. No, you don't have to throw it in the river.

I was once at a shaktipat initiation and puja that Dharmadeva also attended.

Right in the middle of the ceremony, his mala snapped, and he was raining

rudraksham. On the way home, my mala also broke.

Dear Group Members,

my name is Sanjay and I'm writing for the first time. I have a

beautiful Siddha Mala purchased from Rudracenter. I am wearing it

since two years and was very happy with it.

Until last nite it broke!

Please can you tell me what is the meaning of this? I'm afraid its a

bad omen! What should I do now? Shall I put it back together or just

leave it? Or must I throw it in the river? Its such a beautiful mala

and expensive too, it would be a pity!

Please help me, I'm hoping for your advice.

Dear Dharmadev Arja-ji

Thank you very much for this! I'm relieved I still can wear it and

that it was not my bad Karma... I'll try and put it together again. I

hope I can find some instructions how to do it!

Dear Kariji,

Thank you for your answer. I'm so glad! Unfortunately I don't know

whare it broke: all the beads went flying and were rolling all over

my room! It's a good thing I don't have to discard the Mala as I love

it very much. Do you think I should take it to a temple after I have

put it together and ask for a puja?

Thank you,

Sanjay

I am just curious in the sense.. that this time Neeta Ji made my mala super

strong using thick wool thread and another plastic thread.

I am wondering if I will ever experience this event again .

Stringing it on wire might make it sturdier. Mien are all on wire, because I

feel that it improves the conductivity of energies.

You must have looked like DD at the puja-- raining beads! :-)

You can take it for puja, if you like. However, the beads don't really need to

be blessed at all. They are already the tears of LOrd Shiva, and material

representations of all the Gods. They are already "born blessed." :-)

Also, meditating on them with mantram is as holy a ceremony as exists. AND,

restringing them and cleaning and oiling them is also an act of worship and

sanctification.

Even the strongest textiles eventually wear through. Sweaters are made of wool,

and they wear out. Even strong wire breaks.

So.. yes, you might have breakage, again, no matter how strongly the mala is

made.

I 've threaded mine on fairly heavy sterling silver wire, and I've had to repair

it a couple of times.

If it breaks, again, I suggest a heavy beading wire.
