Guest guest
Vanakkam Thangamuthuraj, Please visit www.rudraksha-ratna.com and click on the "Books Section". Then scroll down the list till you see the book by Dr. Suhas Roy. The price is in Rupees as well as U.S. dollars. Its a hardcover book printed in India. Two little value dimes' worth regarding badraksha: ---------------- Badraksha is considered by some rudraksha sadhakas to be an inferior grade of rudraksha. It is oval or elongated oval in shape, with quite a sharp tip like that of a leaf tip. Badraksha is brittle and lack high density of electromagnetic properties that are innate in Genuine good quality Rudraksha. Craftsmen pick the largest they can find, then carefully slice the bead curved in half with the stamen still intact on one side. On the curved stumpy part, they carve ShivaLingam with yoni base. Unscrupulous dealers sell this as "One Mukhi Rudraksha with ShivaLingam" and other holy symbols, even Vishnu's serpents were carved. One that I saw, even had an Om on it ))) The above particular type of badraksha were from South India (can also be found in Haridwar, Bihar and Assam) but dealers took them to Khumbh Mela in holy cities. Someone I personally know, innocently bought two of these. This person was born in Varanasi but never studied Rudraksha although this person is a high adept with Puja and Religious Ceremonies. This person was shocked to learn the truth. Upon close examination, even the ShivLingam and yoni base were carved roughly.
