Dear Stargate40

Oval Rudraksa are Indian in origin........the 2 Mukhi and 3 Mukhi

Indian........they are most Auspicious Beads and the 3 Mukhi is most

Beautiful.....they

are not Nepal Beads and are truly a special Indian Bead

Really dont know thier scientific nama however it may be Eleocarpus oblongus

Gaertn

only thing going on here is that they are oval and the latin word oblonogus

may refer to their oblong shape.......says in Suba Rai Book that in Tamil this

type of Rudraksa is known as Bikki........its fruit is used as an

emitic......also in rheumetism, pneumonia, ulcers. leprosy, dropsy and piles. It

is found

in Western Ghats ascending to 6000 feet

hope this helps

Thanks and Take Care

Dear Stargate

only way to know is to see this........can you sent an email picture of this

from top view and side view..........am sure that sometimes the 4 Mukhi Nepal

Beads can be elongated to almost oval shape however when Rudra Center buys

they buy the top 30% in quality and look for the round shape.......can you send

picture so we can see if this is a Nepal Rudraksa or something else

Thanks and Take Care
