Salutations Sri DDji,

My very humble method is as in 'Triyam" sound; as in Om Triyambhakam

yajamahey...etc.etc. (Mahamrityunjaya Mantra).

In English 'tri' is pronounced as 'try' as in "Triangle".

In Sanskrit its pronounced similar to "tree". In some Sankrit

letters, the letter "h" is silent.

In English "yam" is pronounced like 'yem'.

In Sanskrit, it sounds more like "Yum".

Vashyam is pronounced in one breath: va-shyam right at once without

pausing.

We must be getting cross-wires :)) Shyam and Shiam are sounds to

demonstrate phoenetics. They are not from Devanagri script.

Om Namah Shivaya
