Namaste Cyra,

Pranaams and salutations to your Divine humility and modesty.

Never say you are a fool and have limited knowledge, etc., please my

dearest Cyra..... Every person has different backgrounds,

knowledge, education and different talents or skills. Some are able

to express them, some apply them in practical and constructive ways.

Some simply hasn't allowed hidden talents to come to the fore.

Some are therefore subconscious of what they have within themselves.

Time usually unfolds this when a person truly reaches the stage

where they "find themselves" and "Live in the Present" or "Be Here

Now". I am highly confident that you have many skills, talents and

accomplishments that many of us here are not able to hold a candle

to!!

Humbly, I am also just another ordinary fool. We just happen to have

different lives and are miles apart, across vast oceans. About the

legend you mentioned, I haven't come across it. Would you care to

share the source of the info? Will be very interesting as it is

definitely food for thought.

There are many pictures that one can find on the Net of both right

or left trunked Ganapatiji. Many murti images in different postures

too; such as reclinging, dancing, etc. crafted in bronze, brass,

copper, 5 metals, 8 metals, silver, sphatik (crystal), plastic resin

(in recent times), clay, etc. etc.

They are also drawn on paper by artists with pens, pastels,

watercolors, gouche, oil, designed and dyed on batik cloths (See:

www.rudraksha-ratna.com for cloths and sphatik Ganesha murtis).

The book by Satguru Subramuniyaswami (1000-fold prostrations at His

Lotus Feet) titled: "Loving Ganesh" will give you many answers

regarding the Elephant-Faced Lord.

Sri Nitin Kumar or Sanjulag, are you still a member here? If so,

please post the url to your website, thanx!! This will help many of

us..

Ommmmmms

Bright blessings,

Simone

RE: RBSC :   Placement of Ganesh Statue/To Cyra

Allow me to give my 2 piece worth of knowledge which
is just heresay. I

believe the right hand side trunks
Ganpatis are rare because legend has it

that after the
craftsman made it he died. Now this is just an old
legend -

Simoneji may correct me on that. I am just an
ordinary fool whose knowledge is

either limited or
heresay.

Ohm:

accept my wishes on your divine knowledge sharing with us.

To add some more on the concept of Thithi Ganapathi worship. This thithi

Ganapathi worship procedure is due to Sri Agasthiar. You will find the details

on http://www.agasthiar.org/arunapics/g/tgana.cgi

This websites is updated daily and based on that day's thithi the Gapanapthy

appears.

Enjoy the divine bliss...
