Guest guest
Dear members, My name is Munis and I'm new to this club. I started wearing my first rudraksha about 4 years ago and the manner it which I acquired the bead, well, let me put it this way was 'divinely orchestrated'. I did not know what to expect or how to take care of the bead as I had very limited knowledge of rudrakshas at that point of time. I only came across the rudraksha websites about a year ago and started learning more abt them. What I discovered was, I was actually following the 'rules' pertaining to caring for the bead without even reading or learning about them, 3 years back. Then I got three more rudrakshas from rudracentre in Malaysia (thru Dev...God Bless him)... exactly a year ago and when I started wearing the additional beads, I became a vegetarian. I have also become a devotee of Lord Shiva - Destroyer of Ignorance, from then on. Over the last 2-3 weeks, I have been following many discussions on the forum, particularly on 1-mukhi (round) rudrakshas and I find the explanations given by DharmaDev ji and Simone-ji have been both enlightening as well as uplighting. I for one have gained tremendously on this discussion threads. In the last 2 months, I have designed a mala that I wanted to wear and I have requested from Dev-ji (Rudracentre Malaysia) to design it. I have included a 1-mukhi (cresent shaped, GauriShanker, and a few combination of mukhis along with sphatiks. Again, I felt an innate feeling of wanting to wear these combination of beads. I guess, the point I am driving at here is, if one is destined to wear these beads, the beads will come looking for you....and the beads will subconsiously guide you as well. That would also be certainly true for a 1-mukhi round rudraksha beads...(if at all, like what Simone-ji had said, the bead actually existed in this KaliYuga). Finally, I would like to seek some help from any members in the forum. My sister and I are in the process of writing books on religious themed backgrounds mainly for children in our country and we are currently looking for some good illustrators. The illustrators must be very well versed in Hinduism and the different forms of our Gods and Goddesses. If you know of any, kindly let me know. Finally, to the moderator of this forum as well as to all the divine souls who have so far contributed immensely to my understanding of the divine beads, I like to say a BIG THANK YOU. May the blessings of Lord Shiva be on you and your family always. Om Namah Sivaya. Munis
