Guest guest
Namaste Ray Kumar, Sri DDji will perhaps also respond to you when he comes online. Meantime: -------- Genuine rudraksha does not get damaged so easily by using strong chemicals such as potassium nitrate. If boiling a genuine rudraksha up to 6 hours does not make any part of it come apart, chemicals do not affect the rudraksha's natural electromagnetic, bioelectric and paramagnetic properties either. Hence genuine Rudraksha is highly revered by rudraksha sadhakas, enthusiasts, devotees and serious collectors. After testing, there is no need for any technical methods to "restore rudraksha to its glory" as you put it.. Usually what is required would be to wash with mild soapy water using reetha or soapnut or baby shampoo. Let the bead dry naturally and completely. Then put almond oil mixed with sandalwood oil in a small container. Soak the bead in the oil and brush it gently with a soft toothbrush. This conditions and maintains the bead, and also restores gloss and healthy shine. Then perform Rudraksha Pujan and Dharan. Alternatively some experienced and respected members in this group, are known to perform Rudraksha Abhishekam. One South Indian pandit who is Vaishnavite went back to South India a few months ago to ask his guru's permission whether he was allowed to learn how to perform rudraksha abhishekam. His guru gave permission. Now this Vaishnavite pandit has returned to Victoria, Australia recently. (Just an example for members from different backgrounds and lineages).
