Guest guest
Dear all, I totally agree with the content and the way the responses have been sent for this query. But I feel that , the whole logic of keeping a lady away from religious activities and other auspicious things was associated with the idea of hygiene. In olden days we did not have sophisticated means/products of handling the monthly cycles and to have the cleanest environment around us therefore, entering the kitchen, sitting for prayers was not considered suitable. It was never because a woman was impure or impious during those days. If that would have been the case , then GOD would have not designed his/her creation to be that way. A woman's fertility is symbolized by such a period why should there be restrictions of wearing a rudraksha during those days. After all Lord Shiva himself is also half woman ( Ardhnarishwara). Therefore believe in Shiv and wear the rudraksha with full faith. Being a woman should not give anyone any doubts to wear or not to wear the rudraksha during certain days. Lord Shiva will never judge us by the days that we choose to wear rudraksha but with the faith that we wear the rudraksha. I feel that if there were ever restrictions on wearing rudraksha then it should have been for things like killing, torturing cheating, betraying, not fullfilling your moral obligations to family, spouse, children, socitey. Not because you are a biological entitiy designed to function in a certain way. Thats the way I look at things.I hope by expressing my views I have not offended anyone in anyway. These are just my thoughts and I respect other's opinion equally. , AumShiningLotus@a... wrote: > Dear Respected Mahesh ji > > Yes am in total agreement with all said as this is another way to do also > > Thanks for your input on this Mitra > > DharmaDev > > In a message dated 12/3/2004 8:57:44 AM Pacific Standard Time, > mkris@a... writes: > > > > > Dear Umaji, > > > > I completely agree with Shri Dharmadevji. Guest guest
Dear Friend Your response is most appropriate and apppreciated by all as it shows another way of responding to rules imposed by others...........as Maheshji said we have to follow our own intuition and traditions or whatever makes sense to each of us.......from what I have experienced God speaks to each of us inside as our Upa Guru here is something different............was observeing a sentence here in your message as I was reading it........said basicly if any restrictions should be made they should be made for those who hurt others in different ways............actually in Siva Purana the Holy Beads are to be worn to forgive the sins of the sinners.........worn dureing the day.............. the sins of the night are forgiven......worn dureing the night the sins or suffering of the day is forgiven..........so meaning would be if a person does cause others harm then they might be the ones who really need to be wearing the Holy Rudraksa the most in order to stop their inappropriate behaviour Other part of this is that men wrote most of the books and there was a time when they deliberately excluded women when they wished to take the power of free choice away from a woman......times have changed As example both in Padma Purana and SriMadDeviBhagavat it says that wearing 3 Mukhi destroys the sin of woman killing and this is not right........is wrong and is probably a man who wrote this about the Holy Rudraksa at a time when women were under the control of men.............Jiva would also think that a Holy Book about the Devi would not have this in the book as is really insulting to the Devi Herself hope this helps Thanks and Take Care DharmaDev In a message dated 12/3/2004 9:21:40 PM Pacific Standard Time, rinkugandhi writes: > Subj: RBSC : How to wear Rudraksha first time > 12/3/2004 9:21:40 PM Pacific Standard Time > rinkugandhi > Reply-to: > > Sent from the Internet > > > > > > Dear all, > I totally agree with the content and the way the responses have > been sent for this query.
