Guest guest
Dear Vandana, Traditionally, 40 days is Generally recommended by gurus and certain texts. But as I am not restricted by tradition in the strictest sense. It is due to direct teachings by one particular mahaguru/Aghora Ascetic. I was told to observe the significance of the number "Nine". 45 days is 4+5 = 9. It is the holy number. Example: A japa mala consists of 108 beads. 1+0+8 = 9. In your case as we both have been monitoring your spiritual progress for many months (you have done very well...!), and for this particular period, sincerely I feel 45 days will benefit you better. It is like a kind of double guarantee, with a bit of extra effort on your part. In certain cases, a sadhana can be as short as 21 days, 18 days or 9 days to manifest results or generate effects. However, only those who have done past life penances and still continuing in this rebirth with advanced sadhana practice are more likely to see results almost instantly. All this is rather lenghthy to explain but remember that the Divine resides within everything and everyone. This means everyone has the potential to achieve what they want, if sadhana is performed with discipline, unshakable faith and pure bhakti. Please visit www.rudraksha-ratna.com and look in the Articles Section. You will find an article explaining the significance of "The Significance of 108", etc.. It may be under another title or heading but it is definitely there. Alternatively, please look up the number 108 on a search engine. Hope this helps.
