Guest guest
Dear Jeremy and Friends in Singapore, What is going on in your country? Big conference or seminar? All hotels seem to be booked out.. Ramadan? Diwali? What else happening? Just got phone call that one of my dad's old allies passed on at 7.30pm this evening.....from brain tumor diagnosed only 2 weeks ago.. This very, very special person helped me bury my entire family: my mother, father and elder brother when they attained mahasamadhi, one after another, when i was very young. As the only surviving member of my family (orphan since yonks ago), i have to go and pay last respects. No sooner did we started discussing Singapore and about me coming over...... well now i am flying out of Sydney Monday 22 Nov. to Merlion City/ Haw Par Villa land. Returning to Sydney 25 November. Flight is finalized, courtesy of this person's eldest son and their family members. It will be a quick-flying visit and no time to teach rudraksha but if Jeremy, Hansraj and Roan, and other Singapore friends are not superstitious about me attending a wake and funeral in Katong....,, perhaps we can meet briefly just to introduce ourselves and you can ask any questions about rudraksha and its use, wear, worship, etc. ? If anyone is interested in distributorship for Rudra Centre, perhaps I can also provide some information to help you get started. Far Away from the wake place and cremation place of course. And i will wear fresh clothes/fresh aura when meeting you guys and gals. Best will be to meet at Changi Airport as i will be camping the nite there on 24 Nov to await early morning flight back to Sydney on 25. They have Qantas club lounge with shower and sleep facilities, etc.etc. I think its possible to rent cubicles at the airport to sleep????? Do you know about this??? Any info?? Really can't find hotel and can't make booking.. Any tips about cheap hotels? i have qantas frequent flyer card but not enough points for good hotel. Deeply saddened and don't want to stay with anyone or in anybody's home. It is one of those times when being alone is best.. And for once, no lontong is gonna help. Though Jeremy, I will be very happy to hold a bowl or spittoon for your saliva to drip into! until you are satisfied with all eating and begin belching!! Guest guest
Hi Simone I am John Tan from Singapore. How I wish could meet up with you, but this Wednesday evening I have to lead a meditation class. Any way I will be messaging you. At Katong, 19, Ceylon Road there is the Senpaga Vinayagar Temple, dedicated to Ganesh, do try to visit this temple. http://newsradio.mediacorpradio.com/ssi/did_you_know/documents/DYKCEYLONROADTEMP\ LE.doc A warm welcome to Singapore. john Simone <syzenith wrote: Hi Jeremy, Hansraj, Roan and Friends, I've arranged for international roaming for my handphone/cell phone/ mobile phone. The number is: 0414 303 661. It is presently directed straight to Voicemail service. When you dial the number, an operator will answer the call and ask if you would like to leave a message for 0414 303 661. Please don't be shy about leaving messages on voicemail service as i will see it. The phone has an alert tone. When there is time to 'breathe' in amidst obligations, i will definitely return your phone call. You can tell the operation what you want to say. The operator will then send your message in text format to my mobile phone. Upon arrival in Singapore, my phone will pick up roaming from either of 2 servers: Mobile Net One, Singtel, etc. This means, friends with urgent matters in Australia can also contact me by phone while i am overseas. This mobile phone picks up messages 24 x 7.. Reason for voicemail/operator service is becos on Monday, i am attending the wake 24 hours. It will be noisy, hectic; people running around; over 200 people attending; priests chanting, ceremonies, etc. etc. Funeral is on Tuesday. Wednesday, i have to speng some private time with the deceased person's family to catch up on things as we haven't seen each other 20 years. After that,i should be free on Wednesday evening to meet up. Some good news regarding accommodation, i will be staying either in Katong or Toh Yi Road in Clementi. Looking forward to seeing all of you!
