Guest guest
Namaste Roan, "Namaste" means roughly "i greet the divine in you'.. Ji is just a general honorific term used for addressing those we respect or those older than us. Please just simply call me Simone. i am female ) not a 'sir' ) Simon is male. Simone is female.. Are you Eurasian? just wondering about your name Roan, hope you don't mind me asking such a personal question..... Thanx for reminding about watermelons and honey dew, yummm! i love rambutans and mangosteens too. also rojak and lontong. do you know of good place that sells lontong? Thank you for constructive suggestions; appreciate your input very much too.. Ginger is good for removing wind from tummy, also good for travel sickness or motion sickness like seasickness. also good for rubbing on joints for arthritic ailments. but for cooling body system like my lousy type, it doesn't work..... tried it before. Another treatment was when chinese medicine woman used porcelain spoon to scrub my skin very hard until red and blue black to disperse the heat..... Never again! Can you imagine the bruising on sensitive skin? After that, had to wear long sleeves and trousers to hide skin. Got ever hotter......zz Also jump into swimming pool at friend's condo in Simei to cool off ) Then to Marine Parade to hop into salt water at seaside. Breathing or pranayama exercises help to a certain degree but when traveling on hectic and tight schedule, no time for private sadhana and hotels don't allow incense, etc. One dear friend who is also member of this group suggested tying a portable aircond to me with a lead so i can walk around with it ) (J..from Singapore, if you are reading this, please don't laugh at me!) Regarding oiling of beads in a climate like Singapore, best to do it once a month at least. Especially if you also wash them during shower. Better to take off beads during shower. Wash them with mild soapy water once a month, let it dry naturally and then oil with mixture of cold-pressed almond oil and sandalwood essential oil. This conditions the beads and keeps them well maintained for many generations like heirlooms, especially for very high mukhi beads. At present, there are no rudraksha groups in Singapore for sharing of information and study. If friends on this group from Singapore are interested in forming a study and support group, i shall be very happy to assist when i come around August/Sept 2005. When are the cooler months in Singapore? We can have Rudraksha workshop classes and rudraksha exhibition activities if there is enough interest from Singaporeans. Very happy to talk about rudraksha until my last breath ) Thanx too for giving your phone number. Shall write it down and will be sure to also contact you when i come over. You are very kind in offering to help me make old memories return, bless you 1000- fold. I do not recognise singapore any more. All the old roads were gone, so many new condos, tall buildings, no more kampungs, no more pasar malam, so many new locations that i never even heard of. Orchard road made my eyes spin dizzy ) The only places I loved was Little India, Serangoon Road and one particular shop that sells pictures of deities in old telok kurau road?? Also some murthi shops, and of course the Temples!! Not sure if spelling is correct for telok kurau road in Little India. Its near the small food court where Indians sell food, clothes, there's even a lady tailor there. i think also near Krishna temple on the corner of Bencoolen street? Not sure.. btw, is the Causeway to Johore Bahru always packed and busy all the way across? There is a temple there with 20-foot tall MaaKali murthi. Very honoured too, to make your acquaintance, thank you once again Roan. Ommmm and bountiful blessings Simone , "roankz" <roankz@s...> wrote: > > Namasteji, > > I honoured and happy to have to received ur reply. U sure read and sound energetic. Periodically, gingerly oil massage and soak in this oil does a marvellous effect on the inner heat. I have been told if u mediate use often the left nostril. This by breathe will neutralise the impact of heat and retain the benefits therein. Pls note the massage should always be done away from the body. Why not give it an attempt. U are at liberty to correct me if i am wrong. > > A questionji, how often are we to do the oiling on the rudras. I am wearing them and only have them removed at night.
