What is the auspicious number for beads to wear on wrist and arm

Hi,

Can somebody tell me what is the auspicious number for beads to wear

on wrist and arm. I read somewhere that 12 for wrist and 16 for arm.

Is it true.

Thanks for question...........there is a chart in Dr Subas Rai Rudraksha Book

that is on our website that lists number of beads for wrist and arm

 

Sri MadDeviBhagavat lists 12 on both wrists

 

Siva Puran says 11 or 12 on both wrists

and both fore arms 11 or 16 or 24

 

RudrakshaJabalopanisad lists12 on both wrists and 16 on both forearms

 

Padarthaparsa nirnayasindhu lists 12 on both wrists and 16 on both forearms

Dear Friend

 

As far as I know from reading the Siva Purana and SriMadDeviBhagavat they do

not specify what beads are to be worn on the arms so as far a I know any bead

can be worn.........have another book that speaks that if 3 beads of the 4

Mukhi are fastened in the right hand no body can stand to face to the

wearer..........most likely specific to debates of knowledge or opinions
