Dear Friends

Thanks for message.......am sure the broken string did not give any in

auspiciuos results.......might have given less results is the only answer I can

think of......especially since two people were useing.........would be OK to

make

into 54 bead and one meru bead.........this is a half mala and is perfectly

useful in counting japa.....is good you will both have seperate malas soon

hope this helps

Thanks and Take Care

Dear Friends,

I have also had a japa mala break when a particular sadhana in which I was

engaged was finished. Since I don't have any other details, I just present this

as a possibility.

Dear Arjunaji

Namaskar Mitra..........is good to hear from you..........am thinking that a

mala breaking at the end of a Sadhana represents Spiritual Breakthrough of

some type.......at least this is what was told to me in India.....when a Mala

breaks it is a most Auspiciuous Time...........signifying a time of Spriritual

Breakthrough

Hopeing the Sadhana Practiced and Accomplished gave ownership

Hello,

I would like to know if the japa mala breaks in the middle of the

japa is it different from it breaking at the end of the japa. I am

very nervous because this is the second time my japa mala is

breaking . The First time both my husband and myself were using the

same Japa mala. After restringing the japa mala into 54 beads with a

Meru bead i started the Japa again nd this time it was only my japa

mala. Just last evening when I was in the middle of the japa , the

string broke again. This time in the middle of the Japa . I am not

sure what is happening. To be honest I was trying to stay focussed

on my Om Namah Shivay! japa but got distracted into other thoughts

while doing the japa when it broke. I just hope my Lord is with me.

Would anyone be able to advise me on this.

Dear Friend

Namaskar and thank you for posting your message.......When I was in India for

3 weeks my large Mala broke two times with no apparant

reason.........Traditional Indian Person told me that when a Mala breaks it is a

sign of Spritual

Breakthrough.........your situation is a little different in that normally a

person has their own Japa Mala and does not share with another...........Have

never heard of two people shareing same Japa Mala because even though people are

married they are still two seperate individuals........either the force of the

different personalities influenced the mala breaking ............or on the

other side maybe with the double usage the thread merely wore

out........regarding your newly made mala breaking again..............could be

the threading or

knotting or the strength thread itself combined with the usage or the

Spiritual Breakthrough again

At any rate to answer your question.........there is no difficulty with your

mala breaking at end of Japa or also dureing Japa as you can continue to count

on fingers and finish Japa.........The Lord is Always With You..........is

just maybe the Holy Rudraksha had too much different energy to deal with on one

Mala.........now you have two malas and the beads can concentrate on each

individual seperately and calm down to fixate energies on each individuals

intent

and purpose........when stringing next time try going to a store that sells

heavy thread like a crochet thread and then with this heavier thread........ the

mala might stay together for more time

hope this helps a little

Thank you so much for the prompt reply. Your help and guidance is

truely appreciated. I shall restring the japa mala with a stronger

thread and continue with my meditation.
