Dear Devotees,

I have a question hope you will share your views.

As we know that Lord shiva is eternal supreme.

And we can't imagine lord shiva without rudraksha

beads.

Does this mean that Rudraksha beads are also eternal?

The falling of lord shiva's tears on earth and growing

of rudraksha trees could be a divine lila of him.

My main point here Is Rudraksha beads are from the

begining (Since lord appeared on kailash in a 'Sagun

Avatar'). If yes that means rudraksha beads are part

and parce of his eternal personality and we are

blessed to wear them our human body just because of

his causeless mercy.

Please forgive me if any offense..

Regards,

Nilesh

Dear Nileshji

In Siva Purana references I have only been able to follow the history of the

Tears of Lord Siva as far back as Vidyesvara Samhita

Siva said

O Mahesani formerly I had been performing penance for thousands of divine

year. Although I had controlled it rigorously my mind was in flutter. Out of

sport, I being self possessed just opened my eyes. O Goddess from a desire of

helping the worlds drops of tears fell from my beautiful half closed eyes. From

those tear drops there cropped up the Rudraksa plants

They became immobile. In order to bless the devotees they were given to the

four varnas devoted to worship of Vishnu

There are also other stories about the origin of the Holy Rudraksa that take

place after the Mankind has already been established and also in this

reference it states the tears were shed to help the worlds and it seems there

were

already devotees of Lord Vishnu to give the Rudraksa to for worship

Now this will probably lead to more questions however hope this helps

Thanks and Take Care Mitra

Dear DharmadevJi,

Thanks for your reply.

As you said many other questions will arise from

this.. and yes there will be. However I am happy with

the concept that Lord shiva made it possible for

humans to wear rudraksha beads. It is his mercy and

divine passtime. And also not to forget Rudraksha

beads are part and parcel of his personality.
