Guest guest
Dear Friends, I recently joined this group and find the disussions very interesting and useful. I could not stop to ask few things which I feel only you can answer: I wear rudraksh few months back: 2 mukhi, 4 mukhi, 5 mukhi, 6 mukhi and 7 mukhi. I am wearing total 10 rudraksh. My queries were: 1) Somebody told me I can not wear total 10 rudraksh I should add one more i.e, no should be 3,5,7,9,11 etc. 2) Somewhere on website I read I should not wear it while having sex, so I am taking that off during night. 3) Somebody told me never go wearing it where somebody got died and some birth has happened. Which I don't know the reason why? 4) Also I come to know u should not wear it when you go for long sittings (shit). But ground reality is when you are outside and you are wearing it you never know when you have to go for that. Can somebody guide me where all these things mentioned? Is any purana tells about this. Thanks in advance. Basant Kumar Chaturvedi

Guest guest
Dear Basantji Namaskar Mitra and thank you for your message.......sorry about that as I thought someone might have answered your questions........most all your questions are answered on our Rudra Center website articles section at www.rudraksha-ratna.com and in the archives of this group site 1 According to Siva Purana and other Holy Books you can wear as many Rudraksa as you like and in the US this set of reference books can be found at www.Natarajbooks.com and in India can be found at Rudra Center website and book stores..............please see all the books mentioned on our Rudra Center website book section 2 yes this is only common sense rules of practice.......place at worshipping place at this time if you like and then when you are sleeping you can always place on night table by the head of your side of bed 3 dont know the reasoning behind these rules of practice 4 not easy to advise on personal sanitation habits.....from what you are saying you must be liveing in India.......with all the bathrooms at the workplace in the US we normally tell people to simply keep inside shirt as this is the safest place.........if you are outside in India I suppose you could place on branch of tree somewhere close by to you....is really your own personal choice on this If you read the Holy Book references you will find that some of what was written simply doesnt apply to todays world however the sanitation issue is a real one that has to be dealt with in the best manner possible hope this helps Wishing you and Family the Best Thanks and Take Care DharmaDev In a message dated 9/4/2004 12:11:53 AM Pacific Standard Time, basant_c writes: > Subj: RBSC : Re: General queries about Rudraksh > 9/4/2004 12:11:53 AM Pacific Standard Time > basant_c > Reply-to: > > Sent from the Internet > > > > Dear Friends, > Namaskar!! > I think I have asked some controversial questions which no body is > willing to answer. Guest guest
Dear Dharamdev ji, Namaskar!! Thanks a ton for your response. Its nice to hear from you on my queries. I wish I will be able to follow all the rules except the sanitation one as I am a brahmin and we people wear janeu (a holy thread wear across soldier and cheast. As per holy books its advisable to lift it to ears if you are going for sanitation this is to avoid touching of holy thread to ground or lower part of body. Since rudraksh is already above stomach as per logic I feel its not required to take that out. This is my belief only hope lord shiva forgive me for this small mistake, otherwise I am devotte to him and maa shakti. Om namah shivya. Best wishes Basant K Chaturvedi --- AumShiningLotus wrote: > Dear Basantji > > Namaskar Mitra and thank you for your > message.......sorry about that as I > thought someone might have answered your > questions........most all your questions > are answered on our Rudra Center website articles > section at > www.rudraksha-ratna.com and in the archives of this > group site > > 1 According to Siva Purana and other Holy Books you > can wear as many Rudraksa > as you like and in the US this set of reference > books can be found at > www.Natarajbooks.com and in India can be found at > Rudra Center website and book > stores..............please see all the books > mentioned on our Rudra Center website > book section > > 2 yes this is only common sense rules of > practice.......place at worshipping > place at this time if you like and then when you are > sleeping you can always > place on night table by the head of your side of bed > > > 3 dont know the reasoning behind these rules of > practice > > 4 not easy to advise on personal sanitation > habits.....from what you are > saying you must be liveing in India.......with all > the bathrooms at the workplace > in the US we normally tell people to simply keep > inside shirt as this is the > safest place.........if you are outside in India I > suppose you could place on > branch of tree somewhere close by to you....is > really your own personal choice > on this > > If you read the Holy Book references you will find > that some of what was > written simply doesnt apply to todays world however > the sanitation issue is a real > one that has to be dealt with in the best manner > possible > > hope this helps > > Wishing you and Family the Best > > Thanks and Take Care > > DharmaDev > > In a message dated 9/4/2004 12:11:53 AM Pacific > Standard Time, > basant_c writes: > > > Subj: RBSC : Re: General queries about Rudraksh > > 9/4/2004 12:11:53 AM Pacific Standard Time > > basant_c > > Reply-to: > > > > > Sent from the Internet > > > > > > > > Dear Friends, > > Namaskar!! > > I think I have asked some controversial questions > which no body is > > willing to answer.
