Guest guest
Namaskaram Ghantalaji, For Jyotish remedy purposes, gems must be unheated and untreated. Gems all have different grades and come from different locations. Columbian or Zambian stones for example, are amongst some of the highest quality grades. Ceylonese, Burmese are also good. Indian grades are also fine. Gujarat has one of the world's best diamond- cutting centres and they cut other gems too. Many foreign dealers source their stones from India. The gems you see on wwww.rudraksha-ratna.com are Unheated and Untreated, hence they are appropriate for Jyotish remedy. Other sites have their own sources and own grades and categories of gems that they carry. All suppliers have different prices due to different quality, source and other factors. For example if serious money like US$3000 to US$50,000 for one gemstone is involved, then its the weight (carats), lustre, cut and close to flawlessness, etc. etc. that makes a gem valuable in monetary, trade and collector terms. Several of our respected and learned friends here know more about gems than I do. When they come online, they will answer your questions further and elaborate more. The rest of your questions about how many carats for yellow sapphire, shall get back to you in some hours. This is just another quick drop by here for few minutes while I can manage to sit up -- my back is killing me..... slipped on street few weeks back, ouch! Guest guest
One source says that caratage for the gems should be one ratti (.59 carat) for every kilo of body weight. Another says that weight should be decided by an astrologer. Some say 3-5 carats for each gem, except diamond, which requires one carat. Guest guest
Hi all, If a persons body weight is 50 kg then they would need a 25 carat gem. In jyotish quality a 25 carat ruby would cost $10 million. That is not practicle. The only thing that matters are: 1) Correct choice for a Anukul - favorable planet) gem 2) Clean clarity (jyotish quality) 3) good color (jyotish quality) Many people recommend a fixed weight, but care nothing for quality. A 0.01 ct gem of good quality is better than million carats of junk. If a person chooses a harmful (for the chart) gem, or cares little about quality... then what do they know? --- karisprowl <karisprowl wrote: > One source says that caratage for the gems should be one ratti (.59 > carat) for every > kilo of body weight.
