Namaste Brother Ashokbaba,

Shree Yantra as you have described, if I understand correctly,

should be sitting on the base. It should not be upside down. For

example, take a Parad Shree Yantra which is 3 dimensional and set it

on its base and it will sit comfortably. The same for a Sphatik

Shree Yantra that is 3 dimensional. Think about a mountain, meru or

sumeru -- these cannot sit upside down. Think of a tortoise or

koorm, whose shell carries the entire universe. If this is upside

down, then the "universe" is upside down which defies the law of

Mother Nature.

I think the pictures you saw of "Upside-down yantras", may well have

been that of the Yantra of Maa Kali in which case, the triangle is

upside down with the tip pointing downwards.

If the yantra you have described is nevertheless a "Shree Yantra" as

you've mentioned, please try and scan a pic to upload to our Photos

Section on this List. One of us will check it out for you.

It is unusual for a Shree Yantra to be upside down. Traditionally,

it sits on the base. Pictures that have them downside up, are

probably "Neo" and invented in recent times. Just a few humble

guesses from your sister.

Jai Maa

With love,

Simone
