Guest guest
To put it very simply... the Gita an epic metaphore of a battle. Or, the discussion before the battle, rather. The "enemies" to be defeated are the attributes and qualities of the illusory perceptions of our universe that cause our self (ego nature) to seem to be separated from our Self (divine nature). Such as, pride, greed, ego, material and emotional attachments, etc. The mystery and magic of the Gita is that no matter what one's level of evolution is, one can find the right lessons and answers by reading and meditating on it. It's an extremely freeing holy book. It gives one perspective. It's interesting..... I'm a speed-reader. But, I seem to read the Gita very slowly, because reading even one paragrah or sentence can often set off a whole series of new realizationas and perceptions..... Guest guest
I have that book, written by Sri Aurobindo, plus a collection of all the books he wrote. When I go to India in November I would love to visit the Ashram in Pondicherry.
