Guest guest
Hi All, I used to be very religious and had given up non-vegetarian food and alcohol for more than a year. I was meditating every day. I also got a 1 to 14 mukhi rudhraksha mala which I wore every day for almost a year. However, my life did not show any improvement....I am just as anxious today as I was a year ago. My family situation has not improved, I feel angry and frustrated, and wonder if I did something wrong. For the past month, I started non-veg food and occasionally have a drink. Deep inside I feel empty and feel betrayed by I dont know who!!!! Maybe it is me. Does anyone know if one can continue wearing rudraksha mala if one eats non-veg food and is a social drinker. I am just plain confused and lost. Any feedback would be helpful. Guest guest
I don't think that wearing your mala and eating a carrot vs. a piece of chicken is going to change your life at all. If you were under the impression it would that is why you feel betrayed. You have to ask yourself some very important questions. Starting with why am I not religious anymore, what is causing my anxiety, and why hasn't my family life improved? Since embarking on your non veg, and an occasional drink venture, do you feel better? It doesn't sound it. It could be a case of acute depression, and anxiety disorder, that many of us suffer from, regardless of what we are wearing or eating. I am afraid it doesn't just go poof in the night. I'm sure you have done much soul searching in the past year. How is your mood on a day to day basis, how are sleeping.......etc. The biggest thing I see here is "my family situation has not improved". Don't kid yourself it ever will. Been there done that. I am not trying to sound negative, not at all, but what I have found in my own life, is people who are negative, just wash you out. Everyone in my house thinks I am a nut, because I wear my beads, happily I might add, do my meditations, and my yoga, as well as my Reiki self healing daily, and follow an Ayurvedic approach to my daily life. I just simply tune them out. It took me along time to get here, it is their problem not mine. Guest guest
>From my own observation, I can tell you that the beads also work for people who are non-veg, and who have the occasional drink. I'm a health care professional. And, it sounds to me like you might benefit from family or individual counseling. Sometimes, it only requires a few sessions to get some perspective, and a handle on things. There are also some great new antidepressants that might be a consideration. Guest guest
Dear Rohini , Dont feel that i am answering your very very old mail, please control yourself from all bad habbits. It is not neccessary that , if i am a perfect man god should make me go through all success. There is 3 types of karmas that is sanchita, aagami , and prarabda. Sanchita karma means what we are doing now, and aagami is next coming up, and prarabda is our janmantar karmas.Everybody should go through this, ,even lord Sri Krishna himself gone through this in dwapara yuga. My suggestion is to leave all bad habits, if you are good in terms of life, thats the greatest gods gift. Reply me , if you have this same old id, jai Rohini W <rohininj (AT) hotmail (DOT) com> wrote: Hi All, I used to be very religious and had given up non-vegetarian food and alcohol for more than a year.
