Thank you Simoneji. Yes, I am very happy to have it, blessed again

in the temple and wearing it. Also it was so coincidental that I met

a person in the temple who is organizing "Maha Rudram" classes in

the Chicagoland. I will be attending those classes weekly.

According to my mom, even the sounds of Rudram and chamakam in the

house is so great and removed all the evils and brings the best to

us.

One thing I am not yet familiar is the procedure to clean the beads

and energize on our own periodically. I got the audio tape/CD from

the Rudra center but they are in pure Hindi. I can

understand "street" Hindi and not "pure" hindi :-) So I need to find

some English instructions on how to do that.

Sure, I will keep you all posted with the developments on my side.

Unlike yantram, rudraksham do not have to be re-energized, as they never lose

their

power. Because they are the tears of Lord Shiva, and physical manifestations of

Him,

they are "born divine."

I have never re-engerized mine. In fact, Some of my beads have never been

blessed,

and they work quite well.

To clean them, dip a soft toothbrush into a vegeatble oil with a long shelf

life, and

scrub the bead gently. Most people use either olive oil mixed with a little

sandalwood

oil, or mustard oil. I now use jojoba oil.

Thanks, Kari

Namaste Mahesh,

Wonderful to hear you're going to attend weekly classes on Maha

Rudram and yes, your mom is right! Sis Kariji has kindly given some

tips on cleaning rudraksha beads in response to you. Agree with her.

Alternatively once in a while if the beads get dirty, its ok to

immerse them in gentle soapy water (not too much detergent) then use

a soft toothbrush for removing grit or dust. Lay in gentle sunshine

to dry naturally. Then oil them with almond or olive oil mixed with

some drops of sandalwood essential oil.

Or use jojoba as suggested by Kariji. Jojoba also gives a nice

healthy shine that brings out the natural tones of the beads. Cold

pressed carrier oils (the type they use for massage or aromatherapy)

are great.

The English version of the Rudraksha Pujan and Dharan on your

tape/CD is in the Files Section of this group. It is also in

the "Power of Rudraksha" booklet. Looking forward to hearing your

adventures with rudraksham!!

Thanks for the instructions. As Kariji recommended, I bought jojoba

oil. Also I downloaded the file for puja and it needed some

formatting to make it readable. I made those changes. If you would

like, I can upload the formatted file.

Please let me know

Namaskar Mahesh,

You are Shiva-sent! Yes, please-please upload the formatted file!!

Your kind assistance and contribution are highly appreciated. Often

when I do it, it looks fine on my Pc but others have problems

reading it :) All helping and guiding hands, very welcome! I have

much to learn when it comes to technicals. With the Melbourne

exhibition coming up soon, there is less study time right now..

Thank you Mahesh.....
