Merry Greets Seline,

What you have mentioned is true in some cases, not all. It largely

depends on one's karmas and rnanubandhanas from preceeding births

and current circumstances, taking into consideration the karmas that

may or may not have been accrued in years past during this

lifetime. For those who experience crisis when 3/4 through with

their very first 40-day sadhana, it is an auspicious signpost. By

perservering and riding the "storm", going with the flow and

continuing the sadhana right up to 40 days helps remove

certain "bonds and debts from the past". This paves the way for one

to "be present here now" and subsequently move forward to the future

with mindfulness and perhaps even wisdom. Part and parcel of growth

and evolution..... In my case, I was severely ill although doctors

said there was nothing wrong with me at the time. It was like a

purging exercise of the spiritual and physical type, difficult to

explain. Later in the process, there was this "knowing" when I would

get well and never look back. To date, I haven't :)

somewhere in the cycle, like 3/4th through, that there can be a

crisis. The crisis can be severe enough to tempt one to take the

mala off..... but that this is the "breakthrough" point.
