Guest guest
>From one of our dear sister's sites (but she's not been around for ages. Hope you're fine and well, you know who you are Nilabindu You haven't been forgotten. Hope you'll drop by some time to say hi.. Om Shree Gurudev Namaha Simone ======================== Rudraksha beads are full of grandeur and mystery! They are an ancient bead and have an amazing story. It is up to you whether to believe or not to believe! I myself believe. Read on... Rudraksha Forest The rudraksha comes from a tree (Elaeocarpus Ganitrus) that only grows in India, Nepal, Indonesia and Malaysia and it takes up to 18 years to become fully mature. The fruit of the tree is round and green. Once it is picked or fallen, it turns a vibrant and amazing blue color (Interesting how it ties into this whole blue pearl theme, huh?). The seed within the fruit can be up as small as teeny tiny and as large as 1 inch. Each seed has a different number of faces or mukhis, which can number from 1 to 38. The most common number being 5 mukhis. I get my Rudrakshas from a very reputable source in India. They have been blessed by a Vedic Priest in traditional vedic ceremonies and are ready for wearing and usage. Chanting the specific mantra for each mukhi is recommended, but not required. There are many stories about the divine properties of the different mukhis. I will tell you some here but must say that nothing on this website is meant to treat, prevent, diagnosis, cure, heal, or anything else I could get sued for. This is solely my opinion and experience and I must urge each and every person to do their own research and or talk to their own health care professional. If you are on high blood pressure medication, don't stop taking it and start wearing rudraksha beads and expect everything to be fine, unless of course you are enlightened and have no ego. That said...here we go. The "myth" goes like this... Rudra means Shiva and Aaksha means eye or tear. Rudraksha means "The tears of Shiva". It goes on to say that Shiva, coming out of a deep samadhi, opened his eyes and out flowed his tears. They came to earth and grew into the Rudraksha tree. It is said that the seed contains all the mysteries of the cosmos and divine energy. The Indian epics are full of different stories reputing the benefits of wearing the rudraksha. Rudraksha fruit & beads There have been scientific studies done proving Rudraksha have electromagnetic properties that effect the heart, slowing it down, inducing lower blood pressure and tranquility for the wearer. Rudraksha also have an impact on the activity of neurotransmitters resulting in a more positive outlook on life. Here are the main properties of one through ten mukhis. There are more mukhi beads available, but the price really sky rockets, as they are quite rare. 1 Mukhi enlightens the super consciousness 2 Mukhi maintains oneness and unity 3 Mukhi allows the wearer to become pure releasing past karma 4 Mukhi gains power of creativity 5 Mukhi gains health and peace of mind 6 Mukhi gains relief from worldly sorrows, receives wisdom and knowledge 7 Mukhi receives freedom from worries and despair and will progress in business 8 Mukhi brings success 9 Mukhi receives energy and fearlessness 10 Mukhi pacifies all negative planetary energy I can tell you in my own journey that I really don't like to be without my rudrakshas. I have a much quieter mind, am not so quick to ignite and am generally more at peace when I wear them. I have "tested" them and decided to not wear them for a couple of days (it is said women shouldn't wear them during their period, but oh well, I do anyway) and definitely noticed my mind chatter return. The beads take on your energy and go from a rusty shade of red to a dark brown to a black color. It is best to wear them on your skin. It is good to wash them occasionally with warm water and mild soap, using a toothbrush to get in between the crevices. After washing them, oil them with pure sandalwood oil or your favorite Attar. They hold the scent beautifully and it keeps them from drying out. Never use artificial fragrances on them. I have 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 Mukhi Rudrakshas. My 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 mukhi beads are about 16 mm and I have 6mm, 10mm and 13mm in the 5 mukhi. Purchase them individually or choose the mukhis that attract you the most and have me make you a one of a kind necklace or mala. You can also choose your favorite semi precious stone, whether you want it in sterling silver or 14kt Goldfill. Email me all the particulars and I will make you something very special and very beautiful.
