Guest guest
Namaste Respected Jaminiji, Dear brother, I understand fully your highly placed background and gloriously magnificent position but please bear in mind that other members may not have any idea about it. Remembering some of your previous posts, may I mention the following only in discussion, not in debate: 1) I think you mentioned something about people using the name "Ananda" and that it is not enough.. I fully agree with this in one concept, in that some of those who have been initiated as swamis or sanyas need not neccesarily know everything or evolved enough to fully live up to their names. There are also others who are true masters who walk their talk, live and breathe the "Orange" that was poured into them by their gurus during initiation. I don't think most people are comfortable to use the term "ananda" in their names if they are not initiated. Please know that those who use "Ananda" in their names on this List, are all initiated shining ones. 2) Pretty sure you mentioned about something or someone being lower than a chandala if they did this or something else.. Did you read the story about Sri Shankaracharya washing himself in the Ganga Maa one day and a chandala went to wash also. The chandala was freely splashing water around and some drops landed on Shankaracharya who said "O' chandala, be careful of where you splash"...... The chandala gave a reply and during their conversation, Shankaracharya then realised that the chandala was in fact Lord Shiva in disguise and begged forgiveness. After that Shankaracharya went away to meditate for many years. This story is in the ancient books and contains a nice advice why some of us prefer to "greet the Divine in everybody" instead of looking at the bad or negative of someone or some situation. 3) Touching on your good point about "Shudras teaching Brahmins.." (this was deleted from your post as it sounded derogatory at the time) the answer is also in the Holy Books somewhere where it says that "Everyone is born a Shudra but to become a real Brahmin is by merit". I'm sure your Guruji and his ashrama will be able to discourse further about the Shankaracharya story and about shudras and brahmins from the holy books. Please ask them. At the end of the day, everyone still breathes the same air with feet walking the same Mother Earth planet and merit is not selective of caste or religious path either. You have probably read books available on railway stations as you going on tangents....If you have realised that atma is god then concentrate on it; forget what is happening in Assam and Kerala or elsewhere. > We follow the vedas, upanisads, etc. and not the books written by any tom, dick or harry. I have been crying hoarse to the members not chant the beeja mantra without proper pronounciation or without knowing it's meaning or where to lay stress; it requires a sequence of imagination and tremedous amount of concentration. But in this Kali Yuga the people will turn deaf to genuine knowledge; people will finally think that they are god personified.. this is what Lord Krsna said and is turning out to be true. I am wondering as to why I am at all responding to this mail.... > Jamini
