Guest guest
Namaste Dear Respected Friends, I know there is ambiguity about wearing of rudraksha beads during certain times of the month for women but does the same apply to chanting of mantras? I.e can one chant mantras during the 4-5 days of the month when women are considered "impure" due to menstruation. Second question - what is the beej mantra for worship of Lord Ganesh? And is there a specific manner. Please give your views and advice. Om Namah Shivaya!.. Guest guest
Hi Cyra, If you refrain from spiritual activity and have a rest for 7 days during that time of the month, then there is no need to chant the mantras. Those who follow Tantric lineages will have different ideas. The beeja mantra or seed mantra for Sri Ganapati is "Gam" or "Gum" or "GuNg". Three ways of spelling but it is the same sound depending on accent and ascent.. Guest guest
Dear Friend, If possible, for some who can read sanskrit it will be much better to write the mantras in sanskrit! Certainly it will be less mistake on prononciation and less doubt. The corect prononciation is very important for the mantra because on subtle level the mantra becomes more powerfull and if not prononce properly it can damage the nervous systeme as the devata of the mantra do not get please! All the best and bliss Pierre - Sohum <sohum Simone <> Tuesday, March 16, 2004 11:23 AM Re: RBSC : Re: Chanting of Mantras > Hello Cyra, > > *** The beeja mantra or seed mantra for Sri Ganapati is "Gam" or "Gum" > or "GuNg".
