Guest guest
Sri Simone, Namaskaromi-aham! Kali Baba gave me his ek-mukhi for one week to set in gold for him, but I never tested it (before setting) for fear of disappointment. Your cutting test below, could that be accomplished by X-ray? Kali Baba's ek-mukhi was round, about half an inch in diameter, and had a LINE on ONE side only. He told me all the Universe use not equal in value (priceless). Attached is a pic I took of Kali Baba in 1976 wearing his ek-mukhi, along with a museum's collection worth of other rare Rudraksha. He is holding a Trisula weighing 1 KG of silver and gold with 7 precious gems (I made for the King but Kali Baba took it - he deserves it). Kali Baba was given in alms as a baby to some sadhus in So. India. They brought him up in the Himalayas from infancy he was a sadhu. We built a school under his guidence in Dhulikhel Nepal, and also held a huge Srimad Bhagavat Saptah with Nepal's greatest hermet, Sri Sukha Deva, coming out of the forest to read, non-stop for 7 days. All under Kali Baba's supervision. Kali Baba had the greatest Shalagram I have EVER seen. It was about 20 KG with perfect linga body surrounded by a huge chakra all the way around. Hope U (all) like the pic... Kali Baba deserved an Ek-muki. I used to consider Kali Baba to be Lord Shankar Himself giving me darshan. He was (is always) my great friend. He couldn't speak English so we conversed in Hindi mixed with Nepali mixed with Sanskrit.---wow, what a combo! And what a Sadhu!! Guest guest
Rspd Ole, Hare Krishna! AGTSP!! Sri Mukunda must be from Dhulikhel!(?)The Ek mukhi Kali Baba had was like a small round sized NORMAL Rudraksha except it had a line on one side only. He told me it would float against (upstream) the current in the Bhagmati River. I had the bead set in silver (I remember, Kali Baba didn't want gold, he wanted silver) and after that setting it was too late to test. Actually I was afraid if I dropped Kali Baba's ek-mukhi in the river, and it got lost, that would be dreadful. So I never tested it. Thanks for the other mail about ek-mukhi. Kali Baba told me a real ek-mukhi costs lakhs of rupies (not 2,000 Rs) and is round. He also told me there were false shells (not Shank family) that opened on the right and looked like a big ugly conch...and most people take these shells as Lakshmi Shank, even though they are NOT shank shells, therefore NOT Lakshmi shank. The REAL thing is almost always priceless (in Sacred Gemology) and VERY hard to get at ANY price. It is good that DharmaDevji is making such an effort to reveal the secrets of Rudraksha. Guest guest
Namo Narayana Namaste Sri Richard, Pranaams. It is highly understandable you didn't want to test the Ek- mukhi before setting (humbly, I wouldn't be game either for Sri Kali Baba as one of two factors were to be considered. Golly what if it disappeared in the river, shuddering at the thought.. Yes, instead of cutting, rudraksha can be x-rayed. Thank you for describing Kali Baba's Ek-mukhi, indeed it sounds priceless. Thanks too for attaching photos you took of Sri Kali Baba! Most eager to look at them right after sending this. Forgot to mention that no longer takes photo attachments with posts on any group. It will be great if you would consider utilising the "Photos" section link and upload pics there. Can't wait to see the ek-mukhi and the trishul you made! Have heard of your great contributions to humankind and the school in Dhulikhel, Nepal and greatly admire your works (count me in the fan club). In fact, you are one of the Very Few people in Thailand they should nominate as "National Treasure". Indeed what a combo, what a Sadhu and what a man (yourself)! Most honoured by your darshan here, exuberance and above all your humility despite all the magnificent achievements. (Many out there would have long fallen prey to the trappings.) Guest guest
Respected all, IMHO, as per the sriptures the holy items like Rudraksha, Saligram, etc. should not be traded for money. There are people who have spent almost their lifetime in the Gandaki river but never came across a Saligram...fate! Even if one finds one, it is the lord vishnu himself and mere performance of puja is not sufficient...one has to prepare food for the saligram first and offer it... then eat himself. It is no mean task anyway. But a genuine Sri Saligram grows bigger and bigger additionally due to its' presence there is no bad things like gambling, drinking, robbery, etc. anywhere in the periphery of 40 kosha diameter around it. Regarding one mukhi rudraksha, very few people know what it is. If one has in his fate he / she will find one. After performing the rituals one can wear it... but the first 28 days has to be tolerated certain things which very few can even dare to think of ... eruption almost anywhere due to exteme heat, etc...later the person goes away seeking solitude. Nothing can be done about that... if one can't believe he / she can visit some baba's in the Himalayan region.. or the jungles of Assam or Arunachal Pradesh.. but finding one is really difficult...almost impossible. There are many things which are very mysterious but tremedously powerful. What ever knowledge I have today about such things is due to meeting hundreds of people all across India...and it is an ongoing process. No single person can have such multitude of knowledge... except Lord Brahma himself... Jamini Richard Shaw-Brown <rsbj66 wrote: Rspd Ole, Hare Krishna! AGTSP!! Guest guest
Dear Jamini, You are verymuch right , first of all everybody should know that sanctity of saligrama and rudraksha. Its hard to found genuine saligramas and rudraksha. One who will have these things , he can easily achieve entity by worshipping with hard devotion and purity of mind heart and body. It should be performed pooja as per Tantrasara explained by Sriman Madhvacharya, should know vedic chants like purusha suktha, sri suktha and other sthotras. Guest guest
Namakar Jaisimhaji, Rudraksha in the fruit form was available, a dime a dozen untill 2-3 yrs ago at say Bhimashankar (one of the 12 jyortilingas); they had to be soaked in milk overnight and peeled next day to see the beautiful Rudraksha...it was a surprise for me that very few people wearing it were not aware that it is a seed... then comes Jatamashi - a very important root in "jata" form for the devotees of Lord Shiva...now a days it is not even seen...it is all because they are sold for huge prices in USD to the gullible.. only Rudra Centre is doing a decent job.. because when one looks at the value, it is the cost of labour & delivery, etc. one has to pay.... What is surprising is that people who don't know much about these things... I have searched everywhere for books but I have come across transliterated ones with tags of USD 9.95 or INR 250, etc. but just flipping through the pages is nausiating enough. For example a sloka is written in Sanskrit and the meaning in english is totally wayward.. when people talk of x-raying the Rudraksha and at the same time regard it highly...I wonder what we are coming to... if there is so much doubt then the person is supposed to be a botanist and not a devotee of Lord shiva.. umpteen number of tests can be carried out to determine the uniqueness of each bead... but people hardly have any time these days.. all we want is short cuts.. it is better for us to pick up a piece of stone from Mount Kailash and wear it...which not equal to Sri Saligram but some kind of mark from the abode of Lord Shiva... Jamini pleasant tune <pleasant_tune2002 wrote: Dear Jamini, You are verymuch right , first of all everybody should know that sanctity of saligrama and rudraksha. Its hard to found genuine saligramas and rudraksha. One who will have these things , he can easily achieve entity by worshipping with hard devotion and purity of mind heart and body.
