Guest guest
... and, this was also a good meditation. After soaking one of my threaded panchmukhi malas in scented oil, I disassembled it. I restrung it on medium-weight metal beading cable, interspersed with tiny gold- plated brass spacer beads, to prevent friction. I strung the 108 beads nose-to-nose and tail-to-tail. As I strung each bead, I also chanted a Shiva mantra. Because I think that panchmukhi work best in groups of three, I made the meru out of the original small meru bead from the threaded mala, plus two large panchmukhi beads, plus some sterling silver findings and gold spacers. The piece seems incredibly stable. But, it is very long. If I restring it, I will replace the spacer beads with silver flowers, to shorten it, a little. Thanks, K.
