Guest guest
Namaste Rohini, Mantras work in different degrees with each individual. How fast, how slow or not at all, are matters to do with rnanubandhana and sadhna (how long, how devoted, etc.). Maybe my understanding of Shukra and "AmritSanjivani" is different from yours and my wires were crossed or I didn't explain clearly as follows: Shukra is also a name for Lord Venus (planet Venus). Shukra is also the Guru of Asuras. In this context, this is how he came to be called Shukracharya, i.e. Venus the Guru. Venus is also known as "Semen Teacher". Shukracharya possesses the Sanjivini Vidya. Translation: ------------ Vidya = knowledge; Sanjivini = "return to life" => "The knowledge of return to life". Shukracharya brings the dead to life using semen; not the physical fluid but the "Ojas" the subtle form. "AmritSanjivani" is "Nectar of the knowledge of return to life". How many human beings can truly gain this particular "nectar" without being fully blessed by Shukracharya Himself? Friends who have come across the scriptural reference in regards Shukracharya, Kacha and Devayani would perhaps be able to explain this in a better way. Kacha is the son of Jupiter (Brihaspati) who was sent to Shukracharya to learn about Sanjivani Vidya. Devayani is the daughter of Shukracharya. This reference will give you the answer to your question if you read the story (pretty sure some site would have this 'story' - please try the search engine). For everyday lives, one can recite any mantra one chooses and do a prolonged sadhana in order to see results. But something like Shukracharya's Sanjivani Vidya can only be bestowed by Shukracharya if He decides a mere mortal is "ready" and "fit" for Him to impart such important arcane knowledge and siddhi.
