Parad Lingam

Hi Ladaji,

Would like to humbly mention that even after a human attains

MahaSamadhi, the parad is still around, that is the parad "outlives"

the human. Also haven't heard of parad dissolving. This person

mentioned that roadside stalls in India are selling them all over

the place outside temples and playing mantras from tape-deck or CD-

player as they sell them.

Would think there are two different types of parad: One is the

sacred item that is meticulously made by persons with siddhis who

come from long lineages of making parad where they also perform 16

Samskaras. The second type is made by craftsmen who have skills in

copying parad holy items but without siddhi to bless them, hence

the "dissolving".

Shri Gitananda Giri of Pondicherry, South India, founder of the

Ananda Ashram had parad beads and parad ShivLing. He has since

attained MahaSamadhi but the sacred items are still around and

certainly haven't dissolved as they were made by certain Siddhas.

Om Namah Shivaya
