experience while meditating/ Rohini

hi rohini

recently i changed the way i chanted my mantra (a mantra for lord

ganesha) (dont ask me why!! :-) ). Ever since then I seem to have

made quick strides in my meditation practise. i do 2 maalas everyday

of 108 each. while doing so i start getting this sensation in the

area just above the point where the eyebrows would meet (this is

where the ajna chakra is). i have also noticed some sensation on the

top of my head (this is the place of the 7th chakra). the thing

(which really really surprised me) i tried was i put my rosary

around my head with the meru (11-mukhi) near the area of the ajna

chakra. it started to rotate. i can also feel it pulse as i keep

chanting the mantra. after a while though this subsides i.e.

initially is is really perceptible but later the motion decreases

though it seems to exert pressure at that point.

i also noticed that i have a greater calm during meditation and my

thoughts do not stray as much as they did before. keeping the meru

near the ajna chakra certainly aids meditation. hope this helps.
