Dear Karisprowl

Many thanks for your reply. Much appreciated. Is the mala very long

The length of the navratna chain depends on the size/density of the arragement

of

gems.

However, it is easy to hide under a shirt, for the men. Because the largest gems

are

still much smaller than the rudraksham. The wiring on the ones from Rudre Center

(which is where I got mine) is delicate looking,so it isn't obvious, but strong,

so it

doesn't break.

For the ladies, of course, it just looks like a pretty, jeweled ornament.

There are also navratna pendant/lockets and rings. A pendant would be easily

hidden. A ring would hardly be noticed.

One advantage to wearing the navratna: As you are aware there are prescribed

weights to astrological gems-- in ratti or carats. There are also rules about

wearing

certain gems on certain fingers. This doesn't seem to apply, when all nine gems

are

worn together in a chain, pendant, or ring.

Thanks, K.
