Mantra for Ganesh Rudraksha/Thomasji

Dear Blessed Brother Thomasji,

Pranaaams. I must have misunderstood your question :) A bead that

has a trunklike protrusion, no matter how many faces it has, is a

Ganesh Rudraksha (although it shares the same name with the 8

mukhi). For your bead of 10 facets with a trunk, imvhmo the

Ganapati mantra should be used first, then the 10 mukhi bija mantra

if you wish. It is a highly auspicious bead as you then have the

best of both worlds: Lord Ganesha's grace and that of the 10 mukhi's

blessings.

No I don't see your concern as being nitpicking, far from it. Its

wise to be sure of something before we proceed. Though I must add

that each individual's relationship with and worship of rudraksha is

a personal matter. One can stay with what is according to holy

scriptures or improvise according to requirements within reason.

Sounding rather eclectic here but tis very much your ole humble Sy:

if we don't try, we never know :) From my heart, I don't feel that

the gods and goddesses will punish a sincerely devoted person trying

to reach out to them.

As we journey along, new experiences and awarenesses will come to

pass. Again imvho, its what works for us individually that should

matter, not what everybody else does or says because no two persons

are the same nor do they share similar karmas, destinies and inner

processes. Hope I make sense..

"There are innumerable paths but all lead to the summit" (a good

friend named "Yogi" used to say this to me). I believe everyone is

blessed individually. What one has, another lacks so the blessings

from the gods are distributed evenly according to their

discretions. If the gods should bless a person with everything,

then there will be no leela, no maya, no existence, no Maa-Earth

where we slog off karmas and evolve :) The worst is "no

evolvement", ouch! the darned heavy stapler has just hit my poor lil

foot.....scampering off for now. Serves me right for being

longwinded!

Om Namah Shivaya

Many blessings,

Sy

Thank you, warmhearted Syji, that was very nice (except the oouch part of

course) and I feel nourished by your words. I will proceed as you proposed

with the 10mukhi Ganesh bead.

"... will be no leela, no maya, no existence, no Maa-Earth"...

....and no longing for God, the lover and granter and blesser which is hiding

Himself/Herself from the cold eye but giving Himself/Herself freely to the

warm and longing heart. Karma may be, but isn't that the gift to be here,

to find our own warm and longing heart?

Sending blessings to your foot!

Pranams

Thomas
