Guest guest Posted February 10, 2004 Report Share Posted February 10, 2004 Dear Devotees, Sri chakra and Mahameru chakra both represents special presence of Sri Mahalakshmi devi or Durga, So have to perform pooja by chanting Sri Suktha or Durgasuktha.If you dont no any of those mantras can just chant "Om Shrim Hrim Durgaye namaha". This information is upto my knowledge regarding Sri Chakra and Mahameru chakra pooja. Guest guest Posted February 10, 2004 Report Share Posted February 10, 2004 Dear Jayaji, My understanding is that the mantra of Durga or Maa Vaishno Devi is Om Aing Hreem Kleem Chamundaye Viche. This mantra is even written in the Holy Cave where the three Pindis (MahaSaraswati, MahaLakshmi and MahaKali) reside. There are so many mantras that one is left wondering at times for the same diety not to mention the 33 crores Hindu Gods and Goddesses which can make a person's head spin. I follow the advice given to me by a learned Saint. He said to me - Keep it simple. Follow your heart. Keep the Mantra simple and easy to recite while dwelling upon the Lord. A Rose is a Rose no matter in what language you describe it!!! My question to my learned friends is - No matter what Yantra or God you worship, would it be advisable to use the same mantra for all of them. Or is it that you have recite a specific mantra for each Yantra. For example, Sri Yantra is said to be the residing place of all Gods and Goddesses, then would it be advisable to recite Om Namah Shivaye while meditating on this Yantra since Shiva is said to be the fountain head and power behind all Gods and Goddesses? Through this line of thought, God is viewed as an Energy without form and is a perfect balance and harmony between Male Power (Shiva) and Female Power (Shakti) which the Chinese describe as Yin (Female) and Yang (Male). I have also noticed that if your personal energy is Yin, you would most likely be attracted to the Yang form of God (Shiva) and visca versa. Your personal energy is based not whether you are personally a man or a woman but it depends upon your personal energy which is determined by your year of birth among other things. You may also begin with Ganesh salutation/puja: Om Gam Gam Gam Ganapatayei Namaha, etc... Hope this helps...
