Hi Thomas,

Namaste, thank you sincerely for your kind message. Each time you

drop by, you bring rainbow rays of sunshine even though its cold and

snowy in Switzerland, bless you.. We are all brothers and sisters in

Shiva (or God in the form that each of us knows Him or Her).

Generally I'm only a humble mirror reflecting the warmth, kindness

and thoughtfulness of everyone here sharing and caring. Very humbled

and honored.. It is wonderful how we all live in different parts of

the world but yet can come together here and have a

harmonious 'cyber sangha' of sorts :) Must be Shiva's will.

Wonderful to hear about your new mala and the others that you have.

Glad you love them all with your heart. Regarding the 10 mukhi with

the 8 mukhi, please use your instinct and see what you would like to

achieve with this mala. It is fine to recite the Bija mantra for

the 10 mukhi and 8 mukhi individually if you have time and feel like

doing so.

10 mukhi represents MahaVishnu and controls the 9 planets. Also

represents the 10 directions. It can be used for for invoking the

blessings of Lord Vishnu or for pacifying the 9 planets. It is said

somewhere that wearing a 10 mukhi rudraksha destroys all sins done

by the 10 organs. Mantra: Shree Narayanaaye Namah, Shree Vishnavai

Namah, Om Hreem Namah.

Alternatively for the 9 planets, the Navagraha mantras can be used

if you wish.

For 8 mukhi rudraksha, the mantra is: Om Hoom Namah, Om Ganeshaya

Namah.

Personally I use a Navratna Mala for placating the 9 planets and

swear by its efficacy. I've never seen so many stuck problems

vanish so fast until this particular mala came into my humble life.

It was like all the 9 deities suddenly decided to descend: Lord

Surya dawned, Lord Chandra shone, Shri Hanumanji swung into view,

Lord Budha clonked my poor head to get it working, etc.. Lo and

behold, the heavens opened. One thing came to pass after another,

all in good timing, one at a time. Very long and logic-defying

experiences with this mala. Truth is sometimes stranger than

fiction :)

Om Namah Shivaya

Bountiful blessings,

Thank you, dear Syji, for sharing this. Yes, nobody could invent thruth better

then God...!

My question was actually badly posed: I have a Ganesh Rudraksha with trunk

(not a 8mukhi Ganesh bead) which is actually a 10mukhi bead. And my confusion

is about, what mantra I chant for that bead - the Ganesh bij mantra or the

10mukhi bij mantra? It's kind of nitpicking but somehow I wonder...

It's nice to see somebody blessed. Brightens my heart...

Heartfelt Pranams
