Clarification regarding Hanumanji

Dear Rajeswarji,

Lord Hanumanji is actually seed of Lord Shiva, which are left to care by sapta

rishi by Vishnu. At appointed time seven sage gave Shiva's seed to Vayu, the

wind god, and asked him to place it in worthy woman's womb. Vayu placed it into

Anjani, the wife of kesari, the monkey. Hence Lord Hanumanji himself is like

Shiva's form. In Tulsidas Hanuman Chalisa there are stanza describing Hanumanji

"Anjani-putra Pavansut Nama" means you are son of Anjani, called as Pavan Putra

"Shankar Suvan Kesari Nandan" means you are embodiment of Shiva, scion of

Kesari.

dear Satish ji,

thanks a lot for sharing the story of Shani. excellent. Yes Shani if not

rightly placed in ones horo can be very dreadful. needless to say, i have

witnessed this in one of my closest one's life after he passed through the Guru

(Jupitor) Mahadasa. There r many ways people follow to please Saturn, but the 7

mukhi rudraksha indeed works fantastic for the planet. and even if the saturn is

not placed rightly, the 7 mukhi will for sure stop you from falling down. last

but not the least i dont think Saturn will try to overpower the beads which are

directly connected to Shiva, who actually made Sani powerful--as per the story.

i would like to correct that Lord is the son of Vaayu (Air) and not Shiva as

stated. rest is really informative and thanks again.

actual death but death like situation. Every person in his life time comes

across most miserable period, when he/she feels that death would have been

better.

Now i shall tell you the story of saturn/shani the most potent and powerful

planet.

Saturn is son of sun/surya. He was born ugly. Every body (planets) ignored

him, nobody liked him, he used to get treated badly. One day he left his

abode and did severe penance to please Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva appeared

before him pleased with shani's devotion and asked him for a boon. Shani

said he wanted to be lord of all planets. Shiva said i can't give you that

as Surya/Sun is already the lord of grahas. But you shall be the most

powerful among all planets and have right to punish person according to

their karmas. No person born on earth shall escape you.

Hence saturn became most potent and powerful among all planets.

Now for the Lords who suffered in saturn period:

1) Jupiter who is said to be deva guru, also guru for shani had to face

murder charge and almost got hanged for charges of killing two prince.

2) When Indrajeet was about to be born, Ravana (Indrajeet's father) wanted

to make planets favourable to his son and ordered all planets to align

favourably. All planets came to saturn for help he tricked by jumping to

12th house in Indrajeet's horoscope, means death. This made Ravana angry and

broke saturns leg. From that day onwards shani limps and is also slow

planet.

3) Saturn entered in Lord Ram life, who gracefully accepted him and had to

go for exile 14 years in forest and had to suffer pain of his wifes

abduction.

4) Now Saturn came to Hanumanji and said that i would enter your life.

Hanuman said it was ok. Saturn sat on Hanuman's head (When saturn period

comes, it first starts from head, then goes down towards neck to legs and

ending period is said to be very fruitfull). Hanumanji started smashing his

head against boulders and mountain breaking them to pieces. Saturn could not

bear any more (who was sitting on Hanumanji's head) and left hanuman saying

that atleast i made you to hit the boulder.

Another tale says that saturn sat on Hanumanji's tail, to get rid of him

Hanumanji agreed to burn his tail by demons.

5) Ravana captured all grahas (planets). He tied and made each one of them a

step to this thorne, i.e., nine steps to his throne. Ravana used to walk on

their back to his throne, i.e., he controlled them so that they cannot

change their destiny. During that period Narada (divine sage who can travel

in all three worlds) came and asked Shani, you are most powerful planet, a

person born on earth has escaped your wrath how come you are slave to

Ravana. Shani told Narada that i am not able to see him as he walks on my

back, thus i can't harm him. Narada had a plan, he told Ravana that why

don't you turn nine planets and walk on their chest instead of back so that

you can also see pain on their faces. Ravana liked this idea very much and

went ahead, now shani could see Ravana properly hence Ravana's bad days

started.

6) Lord Krishna had to face theft charges for stealing gem for almost 30

days before clearing his name.

As we have seen from above stories that only Hanuman (who is suppose to be

Lord Shiva's son) could escape shani's wrath, it may be because in his

future life he would receive boon from nine planets as liberator of negative

planetary influence.

Regarding Lord Rama and Lord Krishna who are incarnation of Lord Vishnu

(equally powerful as Lord Shiva), it is not that they were powerless in

front of shani. It may because

a) They respected Lord Shiva's boon

b) May be show us that it is learning period of life, it would make our life

better, makes us compassinate towards others.

Hope you like this. There are many pandits in this group, correct me if i

were wrong.

dear Satish ji,

very much appreciate the valuable clarification. it was really foolish of that i

did not recollect the hanuman chalisa reference. sometimes i get confused over

connecting the texts and stories regarding various gods/goddess. any way thanks

for enlightening with the details.
