Guest guest
I have a 5 mukhi rudraksha with 2 ganesha-like trunks protruding on either side, not at 180 degrees but at approx 120. Can anyone please tell me more about this rudraksha ie which deity(s) it represents and whether to wear it or keep it in my temple for worship, and how ? Guest guest
Hi Bill, Just a humble two cents' worth: Rudraksha with trunk-like protrusions are called 'Ganesh Rudraksha'. As the name denotes, it can be used for worship of Lord Ganesha at the home shrine or altar. If you wish to wear it as a pendant, the rudraksha bead can be pendalled in silver. panchdhatu (5 metals) or gold. Lord Ganesha removes obstacles and bestows success in all undertakings. To other friends, would you like to share your experience with worship of Lord Ganesha? All welcome Om Gung Ganapataye Namaha.. Guest guest
Hello Bill, I did not think about it until I read your message........ I have noticed that the 5 mukhi rudhraksha mala that I use for Japa for meditation everyday has shown some interesting change in one of the beads. I have noticed that the first bead after the Meru bead has slowly but steadily developed a a small protusion which was not there when I first bought the mala in India. I believe it is the blessing of Lord Ganesha and a testimony of his presence during my meditation session. I believe so because I always take his name before starting my meditation and pray for his blessings. Hope this helps.
