Guest guest
Namaste Tiger, Warmest welcome to this List! Just a humble suggestion: If the 5 mukhi beads are small, then you'll need thin copper wire. Is the mala for japa or wearing? With wire, its not possible to tie knots if you're making a japa mala. You can use alternate each rudraksha bead with silver or other beads of your choice. Or use spacers in between the beads if you wish. There are others who simply string all the rudrakshas together if they are not rare beads or high mukhi beads. For rare and high mukhis, it is best to prevent friction of the beads by tying knots (when stringing in thread) or using spacers. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Thank you Syji, for warm welcome. I thought to make a maala for wearing. Each bead has a small piece of wire and is linked to the next bead by a loop. I tried to do it but didn't succeed. How are the loops made? I'm sorry to bother you again but I hope you can help. Guest guest
Namaste Tiger, Loops can be made like this: Firstly, please practice by holding one tip of the wire firmly in one hand, then use a pliers to gently bend the wire into the desired size. This forms the loop. Then twirl the wire around the base of the loop a couple of times to secure it. Hope I make sense Please don't ever say you're bothering me or anyone. No need to apologise either. Its our pleasure to share if we know something. If we don't, then we learn from others here. Everyone here has different experience, expertise and knowledge. Someone else may have a better way of making loops but maybe not online right now. When they come online, they will also share their thoughts. Guest guest
Thank you Syji for explaining this to me. I am very grateful for your kindness. I will try again. Guest guest
Hi Tiger, Please practice and be patient, very soon you will be able to make the loops with ease When I first started, my fingers and thumb were very clumsy.. They seemed to be in the way. Was frustrated many times but decided not to give up. Then one afternoon when my mind was 'still', the first perfect loop was made and was able to string rudraksha beads. Very confident that you can do it too. Once you perfect something, the technique stays with you forever. Om Namah Shivaya Sy , "Tigre" <tigrevaliente> wrote: > Thank you Syji for explaining this to me.
