Guest guest
Thank you for this information, Satish. That is very unfortunate. Surprising that the sellers are not fearful of the anger of Lord Shiva. I met a gentleman at the Yoga Expo in Los Angeles who told me he has a rudraksha the size of his head. I felt sorry for the guy. Thanks, again, K. , "SATISH KUMAR" <ksatishkumar_in@h...> wrote: > Hello, > > These carved rudraksha, fake gauri-shankar, fake trijurtis, fake rudraksha > as big as table tennis ball are commonly sold in holy places in India. Guest guest
If those items are sold as artworks, and not as genuine beads, there is no harm. BTW-- the eBay seller of the fake giant rudraksham (who corrected his auction post to indicate that they were artifacts, and not genuine beads) did not recieve any bids, after he corrected the posts. , AumShiningLotus@a... wrote: > Dear Respected Kariji > > At the yoga expo in Los Angeles 2003 a mutual friend of ours gave us an > orange sized art work that she paid about $250 or $500 for and was told it is a > Rudraksa Bead.........is totally giant looking Rudraksa Bead the size of an > orange however does not have any mukhi lines from what I remember.....Is a great > art work and really detailed so the artist really did a good job on this really > different looking item > > Outside a Siva Temple in Nasik I was able to see some of Rudraksa the gypsies > had on their blankets and found a beautiful fake carved Rudraksa that had > Serpent carved and glued to top of Bead and then two bead that were ground flat > on one side and glued together so they would be a gauri shankar > > Told the person selling the Beads that they were really beautiful beads and > when they asked if I would by I said no however I did tell them the beads were > really beautiful fake beads with good artwork done on them > > Something got lost in the translation am sure as they probably didnt > understand how I could be so excited about seeing really good artisticly carved and > glued fake bead combinations and then not buy > > Thanks and Take Care Mitra > > DharmaDev > > In a message dated 2/5/2004 8:59:48 AM Pacific Standard Time, > karisprowl@e... writes: > > > > > > > > Thank you for this information, Satish. > > > > That is very unfortunate.
