Guest guest
Dear Allen, Warmest welcome to yourself and other new members to our "cyber rudraksha home"! Thank you for introducing yourself and also for your good wishes to everyone. Much appreciated and highly honored to have you here with us. Congratulations about your upcoming "Rite of Passage" in having Rudraksha enter your life Pardon me friends as this is a repeat of what has been said many times by Sri DharmaDev, Kantiji and others: Rudraksha find their own homes, not the other way round. I think its the Shiva Purana that says along the lines of "The instinct to wear rudraksha is due to blessings from previous births". As sacred objects and of "God", Rudrakshas guides us along as we wear them and gradually assimilate with their energies and vice versa. It's quite akin to a "getting to know each other process". Please erase all anxiety regarding the handling and care of Rudraksha. In the first place, one of the things that rudrakshas do, is take away anxieties and fears. Even seasoned rudraksha sadhaks may at times learn something new each day It is not necessary to apologise for asking questions. We are all happy to share if we happen to know the answers. Ask away and someone or several wonderful friends are bound to answer them whenever they come online. Each of us know different things so there is pool in diversity here (I love it and everyone too). From time to time we regurgitate information, but with pleasure of course, if it is of interest or important to someone. When it comes to wearing malas, it is largely a matter of personal preference. At times due to seasonal and temperature changes, it is difficult to wear large malas, for example in the heat of hot, humid summers. But there are sadhaks who wear them continuously nevertheless. If due to professional and certain circumstances when one may not feel comfortable about wearing a big mala under a collared shirt, it is fine carrying the mala in a pouch. Lord Shiva is more understanding than we realize When scriptures neither sanctify nor forbid something, it means an individual may apply his or her discretion, instincts or strong calling, etc. as he/she sees appropriate. Listen carefully to the "Inner Guru" and wallah! you can't go wrong. At least this is my very humble two cents' worth.. Again speaking from very humble experiences, it is acceptable to either wear or carry a mala in a pouch, preferably of a natural fiber so the malas can "breathe" and you can breathe too. There is no offence in either. It is good personal intent, sincere thought and devotion that counts. When one assimilates with his/her rudraksha and then carries them in a pouch from time to time, the "bond" remains regardless. Rudrakshas contain electromagnetic and paramagnetic properties, etc. -- this I hope you'd have also read on the website. When one wears them or have them near the person, it is like having God/dess round the neck or around us, very nearby. No, their efficacy and shakti do not diminish like this. When your mala arrives, it should come with a booklet containing relevant information. An exciting time ahead for you! Wishing you every joy and success.
