Namaste Rohini,

Please don't mind me chipping in with a humble two cents' worth:

Its ok if your rudraksha was touched by a priest at the shrine as he

is a man of God and the Shrine is a Holy place. The priest is right

when he said your mala has been blessed and energized so you can

wear it right away. From time to time when you feel the need, you

can always perform further Puja on the beads. Use your instincts as

a guide or consult your Priest, Guruji or Pandit, etc. Hope this

helps.
