Can anybody in the group describe that on the website

http://www.rudraksha-ratna.com/htm/japa-mala.htm

what does the chikna variety, thorny variety and the Kantha variety

of Rudraksha means. How do they differ from each other.Among them

which one is the best spiritually and energetically.

In the Shiv Puran it is mentioned that one should wear Holy rudraksha

which are handsome, free from cracks and breakage,of big size, with

natural hole and should be thorny.

Does this mean that Indonesian variety which is small, smooth i.e

without thorns etc are not to be worn

How to recognise between thorny, chikna and kantha variety by seeing

the Rudraksha.

Looking for an early reply

I haven't heard of anything that says that Indonesian beads should

not be worn. There are many people who use them in Indonesia, Bali

and elsewhere.

To see difference between thorny, chikna and kantha, click on "Multi-

faceted Rudraksha" at www.rudraksh-ratna.com Look at all the beads

in this page. Then s for Siddh Malas, Kantha,

Combination Malas and Japa Malas. There are pictures and

descriptions.

P.S.

-----

As mentioned by Sri DharmaDev Archarya, it will be best if you would

look through the archives of this group too. Plenty of information.
