The explanation of How Mantras Work is found in Chapter 2 of His Book Healing

Mantras. The word Mantra derives from the Sanskrit words manas or mind and

trai to protect or set free from. The literal meaning of Mantra therefore is to

set free from the mind. Mantra is a mental tool that can release us from our

conditioned mental habits and from the bondage of any predetermined life

circumstances. The journey from Mantra to Freedom is rewarding and wondrous as

it

takes you beyond the static and stasis of everyday thought and into the

fundamental essence and oneness of consciousness

 

Words are vibrations that are linguistic symbols for things. Words are

vibrations that symbolize or name objects and those objects themselves are

vibrations

 

Originally Vedic Mantras were cognized by the Rishies and then documented in

Sanskrit

 

Sanskrit is an energy based language where the sound vibra5ions that make up

the word or name of the object and vibrations that form the object are

identical. This specific relationship between name and form in the Sanskrit

Language

is extremely important. It means form can be changed by sound and this proces

is reflected in the Science of Mantra. The sound vibrations of the Absolute

can change the Relative Field

 

Chanted silently or aloud Sanskrit Mantras produce sound vibrations. The

vibrations produced are identical to The Life Supporting Energies in the

Absolute

Field of Consciousnesss that respond to the chanting.
